Pharma sites
The goal of the project was to migrate all of Merck’s consumer and healthcare professional-facing websites to WordPressVIP, while redesigning them with a new, accessible, standardized design system. The number of sites was estimated to be around 75.
Challenges included heavily regulated content, shared components for ever-changing sites, and a slew of stakeholders per brand.
As a design team lead, I created and improved processes to support the practitioners:
more efficient estimates to prep for sprints
combined and removed unnecessary meetings
created centralized onboarding documentation
made accessible templated notes documents
established small team working sessions for increased collaboration
By scrutinizing the migration process, we were able to move sites over faster through more efficient legal reviews and content templates.
